what do you think?

They have found out that there is simple chemicals that could cure cancer.I dont know the names of the chemicals but I know they are pretty easy to pick up as said in the article that it could even be bought at your local grocery store.Question is do you think it works.

People said it worked for them. There was people that had three weeks to live and when the were treated with these chemicals they are now still living three years later. This procedure isn't promised to work for everyone but as i heard it worked for others.

Not that I am necessarily rejecting any of what you say, spiffydude, but it does beg a few basic questions:

1. Where did you 'hear' it?
2. Who are 'they'?
3. Where can the hard evidence be found? (Word of mouth is no good, or we'd have to conclude - for example - that thousands of people get abducted and subjected to anal probes by aliens every day of the week!)
4. What are the 'simple chemicals'? They can't be 'pretty easy to pick up' if no-one knows what they are.
5. Who are the 'people' who said it worked for them?
6. Was there a control group of cancer sufferers who were NOT treated with these chemicals? (If not, no scientific conclusion of a significant effect either way may be drawn.)
7. There are countless very different manifestations of what we refer to in general terms as cancer. Billions of dollars have been poured into cancer research around the world over several decades. If there is such an easy, everyday and effective cure, why on earth wasn't it discovered years ago? (This question is my one concession to cynicism, I admit.)

It's a nice idea, but unless at least some of these questions have real answers, I think it belongs in the same basket of modern myths as 'Frank Zappa and the stage dump' or 'I saw Elvis working in my local Burger King'.

There names probably shouldnt be told its confidential. And other information is not available. chemicals are not safe thought therefore its not a good way to get rid of cancer but through treatments it has proven to help.

Well then, as there appears to be absolutely no way of corroborating any of what you say, nothing has been or can be 'proven'. ie. It is no more than an urban myth.

But you said that you saw it in an article, so how can it be confidential it you, a member of the public read it?

Can you link to the article?

I can't say whether I think it works or not unless I know what chemicals are being used to treat what kinds of cancer.

I wish there was something to stop all cancer. That would be awesome.

If someone was witholding the chemical names, it's only because they're all too common. They're probably waiting for a chance to market it exclusively and make millions.

Welcome, Gavin. You should like it here at the AC Guild...enjoy your stay.

Not to accuse you of anything, since it isn't you making the claim that "they" can cure cancer, but are you aware that it is illegal for anyone to make the claim their treatment or preparation "cures" cancer. It's even illegal to so much as apply for a patent.

Interesting, ain't it.
